Data Project
In the data project, we created a 11 x 17 poster sized infographic for public display. The infographics we presented had categorical and quantitative data that helped us to answer a question in a variety of ways. The data project was an individual project and each student created one poster/other form of media. This was mostly a math project, but we also applied our knowledge of physics on unit
analysis and conversions. One thing that I appreciated about this project was how much creative and rational thinking went into my presentation.
My project covered who was the healthiest based on height and weight. I had data based on height, weight, gender, hours of exercise per week and ethnicity. Using a weight/height generic standard chart, I compared the height and the weight of the students to determine if they were overweight or underweight. Using the data based on the height and weight generic standard chart and their answers given by the survey, I was able to compare their answers and determine if they were indeed correct on how they felt about their weight.

We asked the qualitative questions whether you think your weight is healthy or not. We spent the entire project trying to find out if the subjects answers were right. We found out the majority were right. I used quantitative data which included the weights and height of female students. In conclusion, I compared the data of the students and determined that the majority of the students were healthy based on the Standard Weight Chart.
